Southern Chat: Blackberry Pie and Tupelo Honey Cafe Cookbook Giveaway

The other day I made a blackberry pie from Tupelo Honey Cafe's latest cookbook. It was divine. The recipe is so easy, especially for someone like me who does not have a lot of experience making desserts.  I have to admit that I did not make my own crust this time. I used store bought, and even though I didn't make my crust from scratch, it was still delicious. The cookbook has the recipe for the crust as well.


Tupelo Honey Cafe is a made from scratch type restaurant founded in Asheville, N.C.  The restaurant will be opening in Raleigh later this year, and we could not be more excited to welcome it to Cameron Village.

I met cookbook authors Elizabeth Sims and Chef Brian Sonoskus when they came to Raleigh for the announcement.  Raleigh will be Tupelo Honey Cafe's eighth location.


The restaurant's second cookbook, "Tupelo Honey Cafe: New Southern Flavors from the Blue Ridge Mountains" was released in April.

I am delighted to give two copies of the book away as we prepare for the restaurant's arrival to Raleigh this fall.  Two winners will be chosen at random on May 19.
