- The Beans: 3 cans (15 oz each) of Great Northern beans, thoroughly rinsed and drained.
- The Sweetness: 1 can (11 oz) of white shoepeg corn (sweet yellow corn is fine)
- The Base: 4 cups of chicken broth, balanced with 4 oz of softened cream cheese and 1 cup of shredded pepper jack cheese.
- The Aromatics: 1 small yellow onion (finely diced), 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 small can (4 oz) of diced green chilies, and a blend of cumin, oregano, and a subtle pinch of chili powder.
